#11102 Language and Most of its Bits!
Whatever we teach and/or learn has its basis in language. The wider our knowledge of language and the deeper our experience of language, the better we are able to communicate and learn. Language, however, is complex and diverse and needs to be taught systematically and explicitly. A language program might include spelling, grammar, vocabulary, morphology, etymology, dictionary usage, and colloquial language as its components, but it is the inter-relationship of these components that has the greatest impact on our comprehension when we read or listen, and our communication when we write or speak.
