#20204 Teaching Each Operation: Division
Scripts and diagrams are provided for each new concept to facilitate teacher explanation. Cues are given on worksheets and gradually faded as students become fluent with each new skill.
Each operation has been task analysed to provide coherent teaching steps. These steps range from easy to hard. For example, the addition task analysis sequence starts at ‘1 digit + 1 digit’ and ends at ‘4 digits + 3 digits + 2 digits + 1 digit, in random order, with carrying’. Students are expected to master each step before moving on to the next step in the sequence.
